BRIEF HISTORY
While planning the local church's schedule for 2006 in the last three days of 2005, I was led by the Holy Spirit to plan something for Brazil. My heart burned deeply within me to aim for the month of September, 2006; September 7 being Brazil’s Day of Independence. And that's when it all started.
I had a feeling in my mind that something new was being generated! I had been seeking answers from the Lord for 2006 for a long time; however, I was surprised by something much bigger.
The date, September 7 (Brazil’s Day of Independence), being a very important date for us Brazilians, seemed much more important at that time.
So, I was led to count numerically how many days are there between September 7 and November 15, and when I finished the count, and again redoing it, I confirmed that it was actually 70 days. I realized that I was facing an important revelation which proved itself in the following years.
“70 is a prophetic number!” That's how the Spirit revealed it to me.
But this was only the beginning of a grand plan for the Brazilian Church (on behalf of itself) and Brazil. But at first I thought it would be something for the local church only.
Subsequently, I understood that this was a period of prayer, fasting, and other actions that would collaborate towards the healing and liberation of the Brazilian Church and, consequently, bless Brazil. This would produce many fruits to the glory of God and bless the nations of the earth in the breaking of the yoke of evil oppression.
The first five years (2006-2010) were key. The following decade (2011-2020), in which we live, it was prophesied that it would be a period of shaking and decisions, the objective being the addition of 100 million genuine Christian followers of Jesus Christ and of His Word.
For this decade some actions of prophetic intercession are proposed which are being carried out by the Church for the redemption of the Brazilian nation. The Bible says, "Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper." (Jeremiah 29:7). Also, we heard the Spirit tell us through the ministry of an American prophet who visited us in May 2007: "To change the world one must have the vision to change a nation first - but that is long term, without immediacy... - be a guide and enlightened, on the offensive... challenge... and don't let things collapse".
This way, we will remain consecrated and persevering in the Lord!
